11th XQRJ National Chinese Song Writing Competition

The 11th Xin Qing Rong Ji (XQRJ) National Chinese Song Writing Competition has started once again. This competition is now not only open to Singapore students (including students in music schools and ns men). We have extended it to Malaysian students as well.
Our application has started!
1st prize: S$1000
2nd prize: S$700
3rd prize: S$500
Best Composer: S$200
Best Lyricist: S$200
All prizes also come with a trophy and certificate.
Application ends
17th December 2008

Details are as below: -
12 Finalists (of which 4 from Malaysia)
VENUE: University Cultural Centre (UCC) Hall, NUS
DATE: 15 February 2009 (Sunday)
TIME: 6:45 PM
TICKET PRICE: S$13 only! (Free seating)
Guest artists (and also 2 of our 4 judges):
- Hong Jun Yang 洪俊扬 (Runner up of Project SuperStar 2005 male category; Song writer and singer)
- Will Ng 黄威尔 (A Malaysian song writer of many well-known Chinese songs and singer; He recently received a 新人奖 in an award ceremony in Malaysia)
There will be Goodie Bags given out and also attractive Lucky Draw prizes to be won!
